Gym Shoes/Clothes – Please help your student be prepared, safe, and comfortable during P.E. by having them wear athletic shoes that can be securely fastened. Also, especially for girls, please have them wear comfortable pants or shorts for P.E. days. Please make sure you know which days your daughter has P.E. so she is properly dressed for activity.
No dresses, dress shoes, boots of any kind, crocs, sandals, or slip on shoes of any kind are to be worn on P.E. days.
Pedometers – Thanks to Parkview, our 3-6th grade students wear pedometers. These devices track three types of information used to help calculate their daily/weekly grades.
Class Signals
Circle Up: students stand around the center circle and await instruction
Circle Down: students sit down around center circle…
One hand up: A silent signal, similar to the whistle mentioned below…used at the circle
One Whistle: students stop, look, and listen to teacher for instruction (used when students are scattered around the gym)
Consequences
One warning is to be given. If offense occurs after that, the offender sits apart from the group for a time that is deemed suitable. If the offense occurs after the student rejoins the group, then a permanent absence from the activity occurs.
